Lizzie

Hi my name is Lizzie and I have been singing with Global voices for about three years now. Growing up I was very lucky to learn the piano, the violin, and the piano accordion, along with music theory.

I have been a librarian most of my life and sang lots at work when I was a children’s librarian for many years. When I was about 40 I decided I wanted to learn to dance and join a choir. So this started my love of singing for fun with new people. I sang in a women’s a capella choir for 19 years. When this choir stopped I found Global Voices, and discovered the delight of singing with male voices. Singing is so good for overall mental wellness and is one of the things that makes my soul sing. My role in the choir is being “the Librarian”. I ensure that all the prospective members coming to check the choir out have the music they need, and I’m all about making new members feel welcome. A fact about me: I am one of 10 children, eight girls and two boys, and I am number four in the family.
