I have held the position of Committee Chair since the start of the year after I tentatively raised my hand and wish I hadn’t! I’ve been in the choir since 2017, and I love singing, and love the way my brain hurts in a new way through trying to learn the languages and the music. I’m pretty well suited to my role as I’m someone who is used to telling people what to do (and I have my patients totally ignore me too!), but I’m also a planner, a person who does what she says she will do, I care greatly about my Global Voices family and I am someone who always tries to bring out the best in others. Random fact about me – I once took a blood test from an unconscious lion in the wild when I was travelling in South Africa (sidenote: Liz wins the random fact of the day award).
